John, Trump is unhinged.
We are watching a sad man who is desperately flailing to save his disgraceful presidency.
The cost of living is rising thanks to his reckless tariffs.
Insurance premiums are skyrocketing.
Millions are losing their healthcare and food assistance.
The economy is losing jobs instead of adding them.
His ICE raids are inhumane and unpopular.
His approval ratings are down the drain.
He lost “bigly” in November’s elections.
And his cabinet is busy committing war crimes, helping spread measles, and lying to Congress.
Trump needs to come after me and the Somali-American community because he needs a scapegoat for his failures.
Today it is me and my community, but we know it won’t stop there. Trump and his administration have already gone after some of my other colleagues like Congresswoman Delia Ramirez for proudly claiming her Guatemalan-American roots.
We won’t let him get away with it.
We will continue to organize, to stand together, to talk to our neighbors, to spread our message day in and day out until the movement to defeat Donald Trump and the far-right is completely unstoppable.
