Bellwether.
Barometer.
Proving ground.
Canary in the coal mine.

In 2017, Virginians foreshadowed the blue wave of 2018.

In 2021, Republicans won the Virginia governor’s race, then won back the House in 2022.

In 2025, Virginians set an example of leadership for the nation and sent a message to the world: The American people will not stand by while our laws are broken, our rights are violated, and our economy is sabotaged.

We will fight back, and we will win.

Virginia is the canary in the coal mine, sounding the alarm to defend freedom.

VA-02 in particular is a mirror of the national political environment: In 2018, we flipped VA-02 and won the House Majority. In 2022, VA-02 flipped red, and so did Congress.
