Granting a national trust bank charter to Crypto.com would enable regulatory arbitrage, reduce investment into community development, risk significant harm to consumers and communities, and would create systemic risk. NCRC Comment In Opposition To Stripe Inc’s National Trust Charter Application

Granting Stripe a national trust bank charter would establish a fiduciary relationship between BNTB and consumers nationwide, allowing BNTB to offer custodial services, hold consumer funds, and manage settlements. The OCC must reject Stripe’s application for a national trust bank charter due to serious concerns regarding Stripe’s disregard for enforcement, governance, compliance, and consumer protection laws. [Read more]

SNAP E&T Basics: Turning Public Benefits Into Pathways To Economic Stability

December 10, 1 - 2 pm ET

In the first of a 5-part series covering the essentials of SNAP E&T, NCRC’s Economic Mobility team will introduce the program’s basics. We will share how community-based organizations can evaluate their own employment, training, and support services for alignment with SNAP E&T requirements.
