Friend,
It was supposed to be a magical night: families filling the streets for the Christmas Tree Lighting and kids taking in the sights and sounds of the season.
But instead of music and laughter, gunshots echoed through downtown. Children ran. Parents screamed. One child didn’t make it home.
And how did our so-called leaders respond?
Brandon Johnson called it “an outbreak of…opportunity.” Pritzker stayed quiet.
They tell us this is “under control.” They tell us Illinois is “safe.”
But it’s not safe when families can’t enjoy the holidays without fear. It’s not safe when kids are caught in the crossfire. And it’s not safe when Democrat politicians offer spin instead of solutions.
We’re done waiting on failed leadership. Illinois Republicans are working to elect real leaders who will enforce the law and keep families safe.
We’re working night and day to take back local offices, elect tough-on-crime leaders, and put an end to this madness. But we can’t do it alone.
