FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Governor Gordon Receives Complaints Regarding Platte County
CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Dec. 4, 2025 Governor Mark Gordon (R-WY) received a complaint Tuesday, December 2nd from several qualified electors of Platte County containing numerous allegations of misconduct and malfeasance by the Platte County Commissioners and requesting their removal from office. Following the mandated process set out in Wyoming statutes, the Governor’s Office will examine the verified complaint and, if necessary, conduct a thorough investigation to determine whether the allegations justify pursuing the requested statutory removal process. At the end of this investigation, the Governor will make a determination on the request.
Given the very serious nature of the potential consequences, which is the removal of an official duly elected by the voters of Platte County, preserving the objectivity and integrity of this process is crucial. Consequently, the Governor will have no comment on this investigation while it is ongoing, focusing instead on reviewing and determining relevant facts.
