 John, I wanted to thank you, and everyone who supported us over this past month and put us in a position to close my first year in Congress strong. Of course, our relationship isn’t only about fundraising. It’s a partnership for building a better community for every one of us who calls CA-30 home. And one big part of a healthy community: Safe public transportation. Safety is the most basic need we have, and no one should ever fear that public transit is too dangerous to ride. That's why I’ve introduced new legislation called the Safe and Affordable Transit Act. This bipartisan effort will help restore public trust in our community buses and trains by hiring more officers and upgrading infrastructure so that we can all feel safe while riding public transportation.
