California’s economy is among the world’s largest, but many working Californians feel financially insecure. To better understand why so many are struggling to pay bills, save money, and balance the demands of work and daily life, this report draws from statewide economic data, surveys, and focus group discussions with a diverse array of low- and middle-wage workers.
