[link removed] [[link removed]] John,I’ve spent nearly my entire career in the democracy business. I’ve seen tough moments. I’ve seen political pressure. I’ve seen misunderstandings about how elections work.
But I have never seen anything like what DOJ lawyers described in that New York Times article. Never.
When career attorneys, whose job is to enforce civil rights and protect voters, say they were ordered to mislead states, dismiss real cases, pursue false ones, and funnel voter data into unaccountable hands, we have reached a crisis point.
And now that same DOJ is suing Minnesota for refusing to hand over millions of voters’ private information.
Let me be clear: I will follow the law, and I will defend the privacy of Minnesota voters. Period.
But I cannot do this work alone. And I cannot go into 2026 under-resourced while facing an opponent who will cheer on federal interference. Can you chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can to help us continue to stand firm? [[link removed]]
