Since 1967 more than 10 million babies have been killed by abortion in the UK.
The abortion lobby wants us to believe “the issue is settled.”
But in private they tell a different story…
Last year radical abortion MP Stella Creasy warned death activists that Britain’s abortion laws were in danger of being repealed because “SPUC lobbies hard.”
The abortion lobby is losing control of the narrative, and they know it.
And they have only themselves to blame…
Back in June, the abortion lobby hijacked a Crime and Policing Bill to push through an amendment decriminalising abortion.
This amendment, now being debated in the House of Lords, would allow mothers to abort their babies at any stage of pregnancy.
When the Commons voted for this brutal measure the abortion lobby was delighted.
But they rejoiced too soon.
Never in all my years in the pro-life movement have I seen so much public revulsion in response to an abortion measure.
For years the abortion lobby has dehumanised our precious babies as “clumps of cells”.
Many people have tragically been taken in by these lies.
But the humanity of a baby approaching birth can be clearly recognised by all.
And by pushing late term abortion, the death lobby have revealed themselves for the cold and callous killers they really are.
No-one can now pretend that the abortion issue is settled.
The gap between the public and politicians has never been wider.
On 17 June MPs voted by 379 to 117 to decriminalise abortion. That means that 76% of MPs who voted, and 58% of all MPs, backed killing babies up to birth.
Yet polling commissioned by SPUC found that only 5% of the British people support the measure.
The political class and the British public are no longer on the same page when it comes to abortion.
And there is more news to keep abortionists awake at night…
A recent Ipso-Mori poll shows that opposition to abortion is rising among young men.
Among the general population, 17% believe abortion should be illegal in all or most cases, but that more than doubles to 36% among men aged 16-34.
And nearly one-in-ten young men believe all abortions should be illegal, without any exceptions.
This makes young men the most pro-life demographic in modern Britain.
Despite decades of propaganda the abortion lobby is losing control of the next generation…
SPUC’s message is getting through.
Now is the time to redouble our efforts and supercharge this remarkable transformation.
But we can’t do this without your support.
SPUC is changing hearts and minds through:
- Our national education programme which sends trained speakers to schools, colleges, and university groups.
- Our annual young conference which is forming a new generation of pro-life warriors.
- Our annual Project Truth roadshow and our new Project Truth pods, which engage with the public on high streets nationwide.
- Our social media channels which refute abortion propaganda and spread truth where young people are.
Through these and many other initiatives, all funded by donors like you, we are making progress, but there is still much work to do.
While the abortion lobby is losing control of young men, a disturbing 40% of young women support abortion in all circumstances.
Our young people need to your help today.
To rescue them from abortion propaganda, SPUC must provide:
- More school talks
- More university groups
- More local and national conferences
- More Project Truth Pods
- More social media and video outreach
- More acts of public witness
- More support to young women, and men, in need.
And the blunt truth is, to do these things we need more money.
