Lauren Boebert is pushing a new conspiracy theory— that House Speaker Hakeem Jeffries is a "reptilian." 

This is based on a conspiracy pushed by Holocaust denier David Icke who posits that most Jews, and many in positions of power across the world, secretly belong to a race of reptilians that plan to eradicate humanity. 

It’s funny to laugh at Boebert’s antics because she’s a joke, however she has a dark reason for pushing this one…

Congressman Clay Higgins is a close ally of Boebert. In 2023 when an activist asked Boebert an unfriendly question at a presser with Higgins, he went on the attack manhandling the protestor and dragging him away.

The reason why Boebert is spreading this theory is because it dehumanizes her political opponents and primes her base to accept and participate in violence committed against them. 

It’s the same reason why she claims that Trans people are behind a wave of mass shootings or that Ilhan Omar is a jihadi. 

Democrats, LGBTQ, Muslims, and Jews are all groups she is targeting— and she wants violence committed against them. She is pushing for it at a policy level and she is priming her base for it. 

Lauren Boebert is in Congress because of a mere 546 votes. In 2024 when labor leader Trisha Calvarese went head to head with her, Trisha had the best performance a Democrat has ever had in this district and outperformed Kamala Harris by 6 points. Now Trisha is back to finish the job.
