CND activists across the country are preparing to ramp up the campaign against Britain’s nuclear expansion in 2026 and we need as many supporters as possible helping us raise awareness about this incredibly dangerous escalation.

Our recent conference in London brought together a wealth of technical expertise and campaigning knowledge on Britain’s nuclear expansion plans, which includes the modernisation of Britain’s nuclear-powered and nuclear-armed submarines, the purchase of nuclear-capable F-35A fighter jets for the RAF, and the deployment of US nuclear weapons in Britain.

We now have a new page on our website, which collates some of the contributions into a useful resource. In addition to speeches about Palestine, NATO, militarism and racism, climate security, the crackdown on peaceful protest, and defence diversification, you can hear from anti-nuclear campaigners working in Wales, Scotland, Plymouth, and East Anglia, discussing various aspects of Britain’s nuclear nightmare.

We also have experts exposing the ‘smoke and mirrors’ behind Britain’s F-35A purchase, the problems facing the Royal Navy’s nuclear submarine programme, and how these nuclear crises can become an opportunity for disarmament advocates.

RAF MARHAM: Join the demonstration on 28 February 2026

Save the date: RAF Marham demo on 28 February 2026

CND’s next action against Britain’s nuclear expansion will take place at RAF Marham on Saturday, 28 February 2026. Marham is the site where Britain’s nuclear jets will be stationed and is located close to RAF Lakenheath where US B61-12 nuclear bombs have now been deployed. It’s crucial that we have as many people there as possible to help build pressure on the British government to halt this uncosted purchase, which was announced without any debate or discussion in Parliament.

Together Alliance launches unity movement against the far right

The government’s answer to the climate crisis and our security needs is more militarism, more nuclear weapons, and making people in Britain pay for it. As a result, the voices of division in our country are growing louder and those who sow this division are becoming more confident. However, their solutions to the problems facing ordinary people, by scapegoating the most vulnerable in society, is not the answer.

CND is proud to announce its participation in the Together Alliance, a new coalition of over 50 organisations and hundreds of individuals who are uniting to expose and challenge the rise of the far right and fascist organisations in Britain.

A major national demonstration is being organised for Saturday, 28 March 2026. Save the date and make sure to join us on the streets for a massive demonstration that rejects hate and division. Sign up to their website here for more information on the march and other upcoming events.
