Tell Florida: Shut down

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Far-right network calls for Hegseth's prosecution for war crimes

Folks, when you lose the right-wing nuts over at Newsmax, you've really lost the plot. The far-right network's senior legal analyst Andrew Napolitano said yesterday that Defense Sec. Pete Hegseth and everyone else involved in the Sept. 2nd strike on a suspected drug-running boat should be prosecuted for committing war crimes. Uh, let that sink in (international waters) for a minute.

Take Action: Tell Congress: End Trump's Caribbean "murder spree" now!

Trump plasters his own name on US Institute of Peace headquarters
America's wannabe dictator has yet to wrangle a precious peace prize from the Nobel Foundation, but he sure is doing plenty of compensating in the meantime. Yesterday word broke that Trump's goons plastered the vainglorious nincompoop's name on the United States Institute of Peace. Fun fact: the USIP was created by Congress in the 1980s as a standalone nonprofit independent of the federal government. But that's not stopping Dear Leader from unilaterally tagging it for himself. And to think, all this might've been avoided if someone had just hugged him a bit more when he was a kid.

Take Action: Demand Congress stop Trump's attack on our elections!

MAGA extremist and billionaire lapdog Greg Abbott launches re-election run

Gina Hinojosa for Texas: Greg Abbott has become a national figure for his astonishing mismanagement, breathtaking corruption, and shocking cruelty. He’s the man who stripped Medicaid from two millions Texans, most of them kids. He’s the man who has spent years trying to privatize our public school systems and funneled a billion taxpayer dollars into the pockets of his donors. He’s the man who refused to use state money to feed kids during the SNAP freeze. Former school board president Gina Hinojosa is running to put an end to Abbott’s depravity once and for all. Will you chip in to help her take advantage of Abbott’s 78% (!) disapproval rating?

Detainees at "Alligator Alcatraz" facing "harrowing human right violations," new report alleges
Detainees at Donald Trump's notorious Florida immigration jail have been shackled inside a 2-foot high metal cage and left outside without water for up to a day at a time, a shocking report published on Thursday by Amnesty International alleges. The human rights group said migrants held at the state-run Everglades facility, and at Miami’s Krome immigration processing center operated by a private company on behalf of the Trump regime, continue to be exposed to "cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment" rising in some cases to torture. The cage, known to detainees as "the box," is used by guards for the arbitrary punishment of trivial or non-existent offenses, according to the report compiled from interviews with detainees and advocacy groups, and a site visit to Krome made by Amnesty workers in September. Is this what they meant when they said "great again?"

Trump tells followers their donations will help him "earn" a place in heaven
Donald Trump, a billionaire fraudster who's been credibly accused of sexual misconduct by more than two dozen women, made yet another eye-popping fundraising plea to the MAGA faithful, framing his survival from a 2024 assassination attempt as divine intervention and claiming he's been personally chosen by God to fulfill one ultimate mission before making his way to heaven: saving America. And, wouldn't you know it, he's gonna need yet another injection of cold, hard cash from his most loyal supporters to get the job done. The grift is great, the grift is good. Let us bilk them, who needs food?

Take Action: Stop Trump from helping Wall Street prey on retirement funds!

White House tweets cringy "Daddy's Home" holiday message

Definitely not giving off "Tread on me, Daddy" vibes at all! Also, why is the Trump regime tweeting "HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS?" We thought the War on Christmas™ was finally over?

My Pillow guy files paperwork to run for Minnesota governor

Great news, Minnesota! Everyone's favorite crack-cocaine-addled huckster is throwing his pillow in the ring to be your next governor! Well, almost, anyway. "I’m 98 percent sure I’m going to," Mike Lindell said in an interview Wednesday afternoon. For a deeper dive into the kind of fearless leadership the delusional booze hound and gambling addict might bring to the governor's mansion, have a quick looksee at his riveting autobiography, "What Are the Odds: From Crack Addict to CEO." From hoovering mounds of cocaine for decades on end to mythical tales of staring down ruthless mobsters and hardened street-corner dealers, Lindell has hallucinated and faked it all!

Trump lashes out at "SLEAZEBAG" Colorado governor, demands he "FREE" election fraud felon Tina Peters
Tina Peters, a former Colorado county clerk, was convicted and sentenced to nine years in prison for felony election-related crimes she committed on behalf of Donald Trump. Because Peters was tried in Colorado state court, America's wannabe dictator can't simply wave his federal pardon wand and let her off the hook, so he's directing his raging ire at Democratic Gov. Jared Polis, the only person who can unilaterally set Peters free. Never mind the fact that Peters' case was led by Republican prosecutors, or that the evidence against her was overwhelming. To hear Trump tell it, Polis is refusing to free an "elderly woman" and cancer survivor who was simply trying to preserve election records. In fact, Peters — nine years Donald's junior — was doing the opposite. After years of firing one attorney after another and filing numerous petitions to have her case thrown out (including one rejected by the US Supreme Court), the ex-Mesa County clerk was eventually convicted in August 2024 on seven charges of engaging in a security breach to advance a false conspiracy theory of election fraud. But sure, Polis is the "sleazebag" and Peters the victim.

Trump Jr.-backed startup receives $620 million Pentagon loan
In October, Popular Information reported that the Pentagon awarded a contract to Unusual Machines, an obscure drone company that Donald Trump's son, Don Jr., joined as an advisor in November 2024, despite having no notable experience with drones or military contracting. The contract was for the manufacturing of 3,500 drone motors, and the Army also “indicated it planned to order an additional 20,000 components” from Unusual Machines next year. Trump Jr. was given 200,000 shares of the company’s stock in 2024, which are now worth millions. Now, another small startup funded by 1789 Capital, a venture capital firm where Trump Jr. is a partner, will receive a $620 million loan from the Defense Department, the Financial Times reported. Vulcan Elements, which currently has around 30 employees, produces rare-earth magnets, which can be used in “drones, radar systems and other military applications.” The contract was awarded just three months after 1789 invested in Vulcan. Nope, definitely nothing suspicious going on here, and, anyway, something something Hunter Biden's laptop...
