Swinomish Boat Launch Temporarily Closed for Renovations Through December

 

Skagit County Parks and Recreation announced today that the Swinomish Boat Launch will be closed through December as the site undergoes scheduled renovations. Construction is expected to be completed and the facility reopened by January 1, 2026.

The renovation project will improve safety, enhance usability, and extend the life of the boat launch for years to come. Crews will be on-site throughout the month completing structural updates and making improvements designed to better serve residents, tribal members, and visitors who rely on the facility for recreation and access to local waterways.

During the temporary closure, those needing access to a boat launch are encouraged to use one of the following nearby options:


* Washington Park Boat Launch - Anacortes
* Town of La Conner Public Boat Launch - La Conner

Skagit County Parks and Recreation appreciates the community’s patience as these important improvements are completed.
