Hi Friends,
At this time of year, demand at food shelves is typically high. Because of challenges in our economy and reduced federal funding, that demand is increasing.
More people than you think need help. Folks that you see at the grocery store, at the dump, and at the Post Office struggle to afford the food their family needs, but you might never know.
In Vermont, we take pride in pitching in to help out our neighbors when they need it. More folks in our state will need help this year.
I’ll continue working in the Senate to increase access to nutrition funding to ensure no one goes hungry in America.
These are tough times. We must come together as a community to help each other get through it.
