Way back in March, after the first reports that Hegseth shared classified information in an unsecured Signal thread broke, we called for him to be fired. Rank incompetence, brazen disregard for the safety of the men and women under his command, and a crystal clear violation of operational security.
Today, the Department of Defense Inspector General released a report on that very incident. Funnily enough, they arrived at the same conclusion we did in March:
Hegseth violated military regulations by sharing classified information in an unsecured Signal thread.
We said it back then, and we’re saying it again now: Pete Hegseth should be FIRED before he endangers the lives or integrity of anyone else.
