Quick update: We won another critical victory.
A federal court ruled against the Trump administration to permanently block the administration from eliminating these four agencies:
- The Institute of Museum and Library Services
- The Minority Business Development Agency
- The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service
- The U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness
These agencies support libraries, small businesses, workers, museums, and people experiencing homelessness, and the President tried to wipe them out.
The court found that a president cannot eliminate federal agencies created and funded by Congress. Such actions are illegal and unconstitutional.
Friend, these attacks on our institutions aren’t slowing down. Trump’s administration is aggressively testing the limits of executive power, and state attorneys general are holding the line.
I’m running for re-election because these fights are far from over. And I need your help to stay in them.
Will you chip in $10 or more today to our campaign to help us keep defending Americans and stopping Trump’s unlawful power grabs?
