JOHN,
The problem in Washington isn't that Republicans and Democrats can't get along. The problem is that they always get along when it comes to protecting the system that keeps them rich and in power.
That system is run by two people: Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Every single partisan senator—including Jim Risch—answers to one of these two men. That means every single vote Risch casts is filtered through the political agenda of D.C., not the needs of hardworking folks in Idaho.
I am running as an Independent because I refuse to answer to either of them. And I’m asking you to support my campaign for a new Idaho by chipping in a few bucks today.
Risch is the 7th richest Senator, worth $55 million. It’s already absurd enough that it only puts him in 7th place. He defends the status quo because it pays for his lifestyle. He has openly fought every single reform to the broken institution, from term limits to banning stock trading.
He is a partisan for the powerful.
But imagine a Senate where a small, disciplined Independent Caucus holds the balance of power.
Imagine a group of senators, like Brian Bengs, Dan Osborn, and me, who owe nothing to the party bosses and everything to the people. We wouldn't blindly caucus with either side. We would be a new, non-partisan force that could stop the shutdowns, block the corruption, and force common-sense solutions on issues like healthcare and corporate accountability.
This is a new path forward, and I want to blaze it together.
Will you chip in $5, $10, or $25 right now to ensure Todd Achilles answers only to Idaho, not to Schumer or Thune?

Onward Todd Achilles Independent Candidate for U.S. Senate (Idaho)
This campaign is not about political party allegiance. It is about recommitting ourselves to the Constitution and to our fellow Idahoans. The challenges ahead of us are not right versus left, but top versus bottom. There is more that unites Idahoans than divides us.
