I hope you are well. Happy December! As we enter the final month of 2025, I have some new information to share with you below. There’s just over a week left to donate to my 2025 Winter Collection Drive! You can drop off donations at my district office on 35 Evansburg Road, Collegeville, PA!

Important Updates/Highlights

Winter Collection Drive 

Neighbors, my office is hosting our annual Winter Collection Drive now until next Friday, December 12. We’re collecting canned foods, winter clothing, toiletries, paper products and more. Please check out the list for some of the most needed items.

 

All donations will be delivered to St. James Outreach House, Daily Bread Community Food Pantry and Spring-Ford Project Outreach. You can drop off donations at my office 35 Evansburg Rd, Collegeville, PA 19426.  

Inclusive Post-High School Resource Fair 

You can now register for my upcoming FREE Inclusive Post-High School Resource Fair on Sunday, January 25, 2026!

 

My staff and I, as well as The Arc Alliance and a team of local volunteers, will be hosting this event from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Hall A of the Greater Philadelphia Expo in Oaks! If you have any questions, please email [email protected]

Decorating Parkhouse’s Christmas Tree  

I had a great time decorating the Christmas tree with residents at Parkhouse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Senator Katie Muth on Monday. 

 

It was a wonderful experience hanging ornaments on the tree while listening to festive tunes and celebrating the holiday season together!  

Property Tax/Rent Rebate Deadline 

This is a friendly reminder that the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program application deadline has been extended to December 31, 2025. This program, which is eligible to older adults and people with disabilities 18 years or older, supports homeowners and renters across PA with rebate ranging from $380 to $1,000. 
 
The forms are available for pick up in my district office! If you need assistance filling out an application, please call ahead to schedule an appointment.

LIHEAP Information 

Applications for the 2025-26 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) are officially open until April 10, 2026!

 

LIHEAP provides cash grants to help eligible Pennsylvanian families pay their heating bills. Please visit this website to learn more about the program and apply!  

2026 Fishing Licenses, Launch Permits, and Vouchers On Sale Now  

Folks, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission announced that fishing licenses, launch permits and gift vouchers for the upcoming 2026 season are now available for purchase. You can visit huntfish.pa.gov or a retail license issuing agent to purchase a license, permit or voucher today! For more information, please visit here 

 

Important Dates for 2026 Fishing Season: 

  • March 28, 2026 – Statewide Mentored Youth Trout Day 
  • April 4, 2026 – Statewide Opening Day of Trout Season 

Road Alerts 

Heads up, neighbors! The current construction on Ridge Pike is scheduled to continue through Friday, January 2027. During this construction, Ridge Pike will be reduced to a single lane in each direction 24/7 between Germantown Pike and Crosskeys Road. Drivers are advised to plan accordingly and practice safe driving habits while crews are at work.

SEPTA Senior Pass 

If you’re a senior 65 or older, you can ride SEPTA for free!  

 

Stop by my district office at 35 Evansburg Road with a valid form of ID and my staff can help you sign up for a free SEPTA Senior Fare Card. My office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Mobile Office Hours – December 

If you’re unable to make it to my district office for state-related assistance, my staff is available for mobile office hours on the first and second Wednesday of each month. Check out our upcoming December schedule below:
