John,
Republicans are trying to undermine voting rights in our state. Again.
A group of Arizona legislators recently introduced a constitutional amendment that would almost entirely eliminate early voting by mail in Arizona — which is how over 75% of Arizonans cast their ballots.
They’re following right in the footsteps of Donald Trump, who vowed to eliminate mail-in voting across the country earlier this year.
We need to be honest about why Donald Trump and extreme Arizona Republicans are doing this, John: To sow distrust, increase the risk of violent threats against election workers, and tilt the results of toss-up races like ours in their favor.
We can’t let these attempts to attack voting rights go unanswered.
Please, join me in standing up for free and fair elections in Arizona by adding your name to my petition right now.
I know how crucial this fight is.
As Secretary of State in 2020, I stood up to Trump’s lies and saw firsthand how crucial it is to make voting free and fair for all Arizonans.
As the Governor-elect, I defended our democracy as Kari Lake refused to concede and filed numerous sham lawsuits to try and overturn her loss.
And as Governor, I’ve taken executive action to stop the GOP assault against our voting rights and election system. I vetoed dangerous bills advancing voter suppression tactics, led a bipartisan election task force, and invested over $2 million in our election infrastructure to make voting safer and more secure.
It’s on all of us to stand together and show that our voting rights are sacred. If you agree, add your name to my petition now.
Thank you,
Katie
