Working Families Party

Hi John,

At the end of every year, Spotify releases Wrapped, its annual recap of each listener’s top songs and artists. It’s a moment when millions of people share their music highlights online — making it one of Spotify’s biggest cultural moments of the year.

But this year, there’s something Spotify doesn’t want you to unwrap.

Spotify is running ads for ICE, the agency responsible for tearing families apart, detaining and deporting our neighbors, and sowing fear in communities across the country. They call it “within policy.” We call it profiting from cruelty.

That’s why thousands of artists, listeners, and organizations are taking action with Spotify Unwrapped — a nationwide push to hold Spotify accountable during their biggest cultural moment of the year.

Here’s how you can join in:

  1. Cancel your Spotify subscription until ICE ads are gone.

  2. Download ready-made Unwrapped graphics at SpotifyUnwrapped.net. These are designed to replace your usual Wrapped posts and celebrate music while calling on Spotify to drop ICE ads.

  3. Share them on Instagram, TikTok, X, or anywhere you post with the hashtag #SpotifyUnwrapped — and tag @Spotify — to spread the message and amplify the outrage.

Not a Spotify subscriber? You can still stand in solidarity by sharing these graphics and exposing the harm Spotify is causing to immigrant communities.

Spotify built its empire on culture, creativity, and community. But you can’t claim to support community while running ads that terrorize immigrant families. This Wrapped season, let’s use our platforms to unwrap the truth and demand accountability.

Make sure Spotify hears it loud and clear. Take action today at SpotifyUnwrapped.net.

In solidarity,

Team WFP
