Eugene Vindman for Congress

John, I need to make sure you saw this:

Hegseth order on first Caribbean boat strike, official say: Kill them all

In September, Pete Hegseth — Trump’s Defense Secretary — authorized a strike on a boat in international waters that was allegedly carrying drugs. New reporting shows that after the first strike, two men survived. Instead of detaining them, the mission commander launched a second strike to kill the survivors — carrying out Hegseth’s directive.

John, that is not only illegal — it may constitute war crimes. And Congress must investigate.

This was an unauthorized and likely illegal military operation against Venezuela without Congressional approval. And it’s only the latest example of Hegseth’s reckless and dangerous behavior.

Earlier this year, he leaked classified military intelligence about a U.S. operation before it happened to a reporter. Now he is issuing unlawful orders that have resulted in the deliberate killing of survivors.

Hegseth has proven, again and again, that he is unfit to serve as Secretary of Defense. An investigation into his actions is no longer enough, he is putting the lives of the American public in danger.

That’s why I am calling on him to resign immediately — and I need you with me. Please, add your name now to demand Pete Hegseth resign.

ADD YOUR NAME

When I last spoke with Secretary Hegseth, he couldn’t answer basic questions about our military. Now, he is directing unauthorized and likely illegal military operations against Venezuela without the consent of Congress.

Congress must obtain the unredacted strike video and the complete radio communications for this operation. The American people deserve to know who gave these orders, why they were carried out, and how many laws were broken.

But the root of the problem is Hegseth’s pattern of incompetence and disregard for the law. It’s a threat to our national security. We cannot look away.

It’s long overdue, and Hegseth must resign. If you agree and are with me, add your name now to demand his resignation.

ADD YOUR NAME

Our national security is a serious matter and should not be left in unqualified, incompetent, and irresponsible hands.
