This
year has shown us how dark and cruel our world can become — especially due
to willful inaction.
When politicians do not act, violence escalates to the brink of mass
atrocities. When governments do not act, famine spreads and claims
innocent lives. When we do not act fast enough, some communities never
fully recover.
Throughout this year, supporters like
you have shown up when families needed it most. Every gift — big or small
— has helped us reach communities facing hunger, displacement, war, and
more..
I’m so grateful to have compassionate people like you on our side as we
work to reach more families around the world.
As
Gaza grapples with famine, Sudan with violence, and Ukraine with war, your
support is needed more than ever to deliver relief and support families
who need it most. [ [link removed] ]Will you make a gift this Giving Tuesday to reach
more families in crisis zones around the world?

This year, I witnessed the most horrifying yet unsurprising crisis unfold:
the confirmation of famine in Gaza. It was the direct result of months of
deliberate restrictions on aid, the destruction of food, health, and water
systems, and relentless bombardment. A man-made catastrophe that is
entirely preventable and entirely unconscionable.
Despite a recent pause in fighting, innocent civilians continue to suffer
from hunger, lack of essential resources, and displacement.
I’m proud of our team members who wake up every day to help distribute
water, hygiene kits, and cash assistance to families enduring unimaginable
hardships in places like Gaza and Ukraine — even when they are faced with
the same hardships themselves.
I’m proud of the farmers who work with us to create sustainable food
systems in countries like Sudan and Colombia.
I’m proud of our partners delivering lifesaving aid and deploying vital
recovery efforts after Hurricane Melissa struck places like Jamaica and
Haiti.
But this work wouldn’t be possible without your compassion and commitment
— I’m eternally grateful for the impact your support creates for families
in 35+ countries around the world.
Right now, many are still facing incredible challenges and need urgent
support. You can stand side-by-side with communities in need as they work
to recover and build a better tomorrow for themselves.
