As 2025 draws to a close, we want to express gratitude for our growing community of abortion providers, accomplices, allies, and artists. Our work is only possible because of your continued generosity. 

Take a look at what we have been able to accomplish this year and the impact of A is For’s programs – in your own words:

• In June, 160 guests joined us at Playwrights Horizons for the all it takes is ONE ACT Play Festival, featuring readings of the three winning plays from our annual Playwriting Contest.

“The festival proved again the power of A is For's mission — that the best way to ‘talk’ about the complex issue of abortion is to make art about it — and share that art in community.”

• Our Beneficiaries Program donated $23,000 to 14 abortion funds and reproductive justice organizations across 11 states. To date, A is For has donated $298,660 in support of abortion access. 

“We are so impressed by the work A is For has done over the years, and are honored to be on the receiving end of it.”

• A is For completed a virtual, 4-session Abortion Book Club series that encouraged people to read, engage, and discuss abortion in a safe space. 

“I haven’t stopped thinking about the dialogue we engaged in. I would have liked to have spent more time with everyone. So much healing to be done."

• In October, we held our 9th annual Broadway Acts for Abortion – an event like no other – and amplified the crucial work of the Chicago Abortion Fund, raised critical funds, and came together in joy and resistance.
