Friend,
If you’ve seen the Republicans running for governor in Michigan, you already know: we cannot let any of them anywhere near the governor’s office.
From John James to Aric Nesbitt to Mike Cox and Tom Leonard, the entire GOP field is a chaotic race to the bottom, and every one of them would drag Michigan backward the moment they step into office.
Here’s what we’re up against:
John James skipped his own party’s debate, hid from voters, and built his campaign on Trump’s pro-billionaire agenda, including rolling back reproductive freedom, attacking public education, and making everyday life more expensive for Michiganders so billionaires can profit.
Mike Cox wants to “Make Michigan Great Again” by eliminating the state income tax, restoring Right to Work, gutting worker protections, and slashing the very programs Governor Whitmer used to rebuild our state’s economy.
Aric Nesbitt wants to eliminate investments in education, block clean energy jobs, and purge diversity programs.
Tom Leonard is running on extreme anti-choice positions, deregulating agriculture, destroying small business programs, and enforcing the now-repealed 1931 near-total abortion ban.
And that’s not even mentioning Karla Wagner, Anthony Hudson, or Ralph Rebandt, all running on Trump-style extremism that would blow a hole in our state budget and strip away fundamental freedoms.
Friend, Governor Whitmer rebuilt Michigan by fixing the damn roads, cutting taxes for working families, protecting health care, defending reproductive freedom, and revitalizing our manufacturing sector.
We cannot hand that progress over to MAGA extremists.

Michigan’s future is on the ballot in 2026.
Let’s make sure we elect a governor who will move us forward — not drag us back.
Onward,
