Get involved with Big City Reads 2026!
City of Lit Young Readers

Do you know a young person who loves reading? Nottingham City of Literature is looking for young people aged 14-25 years old, reading enthusiasts and interested in giving back to the community to join our Youth Selection Panel for Big City Reads 2026. The panel will select the final four book titles for our 2026 summer reading campaign!

As part of our Youth Selection Panel, young people will also have the opportunity to take part in our new professional development writing program, and learn practical skills in interviewing, writing reviews, being on an events panel, and learning about the publishing process.

Local Studies 'Nottingham's Beautiful Game'

*24 November 2025 to May 2026 | Nottingham Central Library, Floor 1 Exhibition Area*

Step into the rich and passionate world of Nottingham's football scene. This exhibition celebrates the city’s deep-rooted love for the beautiful game, from muddy grassroots pitches to the roar of packed stadiums.

Through a curated selection of photographs, flyers, and articles from the Local Studies collection, explore how football has shaped - and been shaped by - our communities.

PUBLIC PC UPGRADES
Windows 11 PC Upgrades

Our computers are being upgraded to Windows 11 and Office 2024, Microsoft's latest operating system. It has a fresh new look but keeps many of the features you're used to. Changes include:


* *Windows 11* - The Start menu, taskbar, and desktop background have all been redesigned, while familiar features remain.
* *Office 2024* - PCs will include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

SHERWOOD MOBILE LIBRARY

While we await the opening of the new Sherwood Library in 2026, a mobile library will visit Sherwood regularly to ensure you can continue enjoying library services.

The second and final workshop in the NottSpace residency program is Working Model Satellite - Structural Building and Testing, where you can build a satellite body, integrate electronics and test a working model satellite!
