It’s Giving Tuesday, and I’m popping into your inbox to share something close to my heart.
As you may or may not know, I’m a stand-up comic and I’ll be hosting the Golden Globes this year. Roasting celebrities is fun, but nothing has brought me more satisfaction in my life than using my voice to bring attention to all the innocent animals stuck in the cruel, disgusting factory farming system.
Right now, there are millions of animals—just as sweet, unique, and deserving of love as your family pet—trapped in darkness. They are lonely and afraid. They have never felt warm sunlight or the touch of a friendly hand. Imagine a fraction of that cruelty being inflicted on a family pet ... It’s sickening, and you would never stand for it! So why is it okay that it’s happening to pigs, cows, chickens, and countless other species? It’s hypocritical. It’s unjust.
And thanks to people like you, it’s finally starting to change.
I believe in The Humane League because of you. And I really mean that. This is a movement of people, just like me and you, who know in their hearts that all animals deserve kindness and compassion. We’re proving that we can end this cruelty. The future can be kind. And we can influence a broken system that we never signed up for in the first place.
For the animals, all the animals.
