Giving Tuesday: What Our Leaders Said
Dear John,
In November, we asked our leaders how they feel about organizing. We asked what material changes they’ve seen in their lives, how their lives have grown emotionally or spiritually, and what they’re most proud of. Their responses were filled with hope. We’ll be sharing them throughout December on our Instagram page [[link removed]] , and today on Giving Tuesday [[link removed]] . Here's what they said:

🍎 “I never realized how much energy I could get from fighting for them [my kids] with my community. TakeAction and the MFPS container they helped families create gave me that gift.” – Shannon, leader with Minneapolis Families for Public Schools

Our leaders are changed, not just by the wins they’ve achieved, but by the community they’ve built. In turn, their organizing achieves material impacts on themselves and our communities: raising the standards for public education, getting maintenance requests answered, getting better treatment for performers.
