Dear Friend,
I wanted to give you a quick update on where we stand this Giving Tuesday. I have been watching our numbers climb since Sunday, and I am so encouraged by our generous community.
As of early this morning, 214 people have stepped up to become monthly donors before Giving Tuesday, itself. That's incredible—but we still need 1,286 more today to reach our goal of 1,500.
But here's the good news: Every monthly gift is still being matched 3X up to $50,000 by a generous Friend of the News Hour. Your monthly gift of $10, $25, $100 or whatever you can afford triples in value and impact for an entire year when you start your monthly gift today. And we need your support now more than ever, if you’re able.
In the wake of federal defunding, monthly donors help PBS News stay resilient and keep us strong. Your generous contribution supports PBS News journalism across platforms including our new foreign affairs- and science, technology and health-focused programs.
Your sustained commitment allows us to think and plan long-term and do our best work. It means we have predictable and reliable revenue to invest in journalism that takes time and resources to develop. We can keep our reporters in the field, telling stories from every corner of this country and around the world. We can remain an independent, trustworthy source of in-depth news, analysis, and civil dialogue.
This is our final day to reach our goal of 1,500 monthly donors. Will you be one of them?
Your monthly gift of $10, $25 or $100 – even tripled – might not seem like much on its own. But when 1,500 people come together? That's transformational.
