Giving Tuesday offers us the opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments as well as the generosity of our donors and partners. Although we wish our work was not necessary, we have expanded our programs serving the most vulnerable this year and increased our impact:
* 100 smallholder farm families in Gouin, Haiti, have improved crop yields, increased livestock holdings, and financing for commerce.
* 97 smallholder farm families in Gros Morne, Haiti have received veterinary care for their livestock, increasing its value.
* 34 smallholder farmers planted 3000 plantain trees in Gros Morne, Haiti, increasing household income and food security.
* 40 cacao producing families in Wasala, Nicaragua, received household solar and sanitation systems, improving efficiency and enabling crop certification to increase income.
* 1300 migrants received shelter, food, and health care in central Panama, and 3000 migrants received meals, hygiene kits, and clothing in Costa Rica.
* 350 families displaced by violence in Haiti received cash resettlement assistance, and 100 displaced children received school tuition assistance.
Our work to alleviate poverty is incomplete with advocacy in the United States to change policies that cause suffering. This year our advocacy:
* Generated more than 8000 letters to Congress and the Administration to end arms trafficking and stem the violence in Haiti;
* Produced a letter to the Administration from 95 organizations asking them to take specific measures to end arms trafficking to Haiti;
* Organized and participated in dozens of meetings with Congress and the Administration to protect migrants in the US and across border.
Our advocacy raises the visibility of the impact of US policies on the vulnerable populations we work with, and has led to some successes, including the Haiti Criminal Collusion Transparency Act, which is making its way through Congress.

Advocacy is incomplete without offering information and critical analysis of the issues we work on, to help our supporters make good decisions in a confusing for-profit media environment which encourages disinformation. Our critical analysis has produced:
* A series and several blog posts explaining current US immigration policies and the impact;
* Several pieces explaining US trade policies;
* A report and webinar on the conditions for returning migrants in Panama;
* Multiple posts explaining the root causes of violence in Haiti;
* Posts reflecting on US military actions against boats in the Caribbean, on USAID funding, on immigrant detention, and on the ways in which the administration profits from its own policies.
Quixote Center's three-pronged approach to serving the most vulnerable is unique, and made possible thanks to our donors, our partners, and collaborating organizations.

Thank you.
