Your tax-deductible gift today is an investment in bold individuals and transformative ideas working toward solving the planet’s most pressing challenges. It is an investment in mission programs and Explorers who are innovating with an unwavering focus on protecting the health of our planet, such as:
● Explorer Diego Pol who is helping decode the mysteries of prehistoric ecosystems and learning how dinosaurs adapted to ancient climate change with the goal of identifying extinction patterns in South America relative to other regions of the world.
● Explorer Paul Salopek who is walking the globe, retracing the pathways of human origins from Africa to South America. His Out of Eden Walk is creating a global record of human life at the start of a new millennium as told by villagers, nomads, traders, farmers, soldiers, and artists who shape the stories of our time — from climate change to technological innovation, and from mass migration to cultural survival.
● Explorer David Gruber who is applying advanced machine learning and state-of-the-art gentle robotics to listen to and decode the communication of sperm whales as part of the Society’s Project CETI (Cetacean Translation Initiative). This groundbreaking research is transforming our ability to understand and conserve these magnificent animals.
Because every dollar gifted to the National Geographic Society directly funds our Explorers and mission programs, you can feel good knowing that YOU are making these breakthroughs possible.

Your support allows our Explorers to challenge boundaries, connect global communities, and inspire the next generation to take action for our planet and its people.
