Even as the challenges to our work reached new heights, we honored our promise and stood unwaveringly against abuses of power. Today, we renew our commitment to responding to emerging crises, delivering credible analysis grounded in human rights, and ensuring that activists whose voices are silenced are not ignored. WOLA’s strength lies in our solidarity with partners and our belief in a shared vision for Latin America: a region where human rights are respected and equity prevails.
We remain steadfast in that commitment in the face of recent events—be they the strikes in the Caribbean or the shameless persecution of migrants— we will not waver in our advocacy for human rights.
