Dear advocate,

This Giving Tuesday, I’m reaching out with gratitude for the community that we’ve built together, and with excitement for the future we’re shaping through the OCA Internship Program.

Through our internship, mentoring, leadership development, advocacy trainings, and our chapter and college affiliate network, we’re strengthening a national community where AANHPI leaders lift one another up to achieve equity and justice. Together, we turn shared stories into shared action. Together, we’re unstoppable.
 
As part of our Rising Together: From Community to Collective Action campaign, we’re celebrating how our programs have opened doors, expanded access, and helped AANHPI leaders discover their power.
 
I’m so proud of the steps we’ve made together in recent years. With your support, we’ve doubled intern stipends, introduced housing scholarships for low-income students, and ensured our interns have access to essential resources like professional attire and bedding. We’ve also expanded access so more students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds can take part and pursue in careers in public service, government affairs, and beyond.
 
For over 35 years, the OCA Internship Program has been a launchpad for young leaders who are now shaping the future. Many of our alumni are executive directors, legislative staffers, and industry leaders who champion AANHPI voices every day. Knowing the impact this program has had, I’m excited to see what we can achieve together in the years ahead.
