Hi John,

This #GivingTuesday, we’re asking you to join us in the fight to protect the commons.

Your donation today will help us meet our ambitious $100,000 goal. ([link removed])

We’ve all tried to read a news article or access research, only to hit a paywall and be shut out. Now imagine that happening everywhere.

Instead of opening access, commercial AI firms are exploiting collective knowledge for profit, hoarding the benefits, and concentrating power. This puts the commons at risk.

We’re building a solution. With CC signals, we’re creating a clear way for content platforms to indicate how they wish for their content to be used in the development of AI models. We want checks and balances on AI so people keep sharing and so that everyone has access to knowledge.

We can’t do this without your support.

Would you be willing to chip in $25, $50, or even $100? ([link removed]) Every dollar brings us one step closer to our goal.
Thank you!
