As we round out 2025, we’re struck by the tenacity of leaders in our network who continue to build the movement for new kinds of energy systems, cross-pollinating their successes and lessons via the Energy Democracy Project. Across the country, Project collaborators and allies have made made incredible strides toward a more just and regenerative energy future:

Despite a challenging landscape, with attacks from a new federal administration, to growing climate risks and catastrophes, we were steadfast in our shared collaboration toward a reimagined future. And in the face of it all, we've continued to emphasize the needs for local, clean energy projects that empower our communities and the foundational tenets of democracy.
