Friend,

My name is Dani, and this year I had the privilege of interning with DC Jobs with Justice. I was looking for an opportunity to learn more about and become more involved in our community. These past four months with the DC JWJ have allowed me to truly feel like I was in community with the rest of DC. I rallied to restore DC’s essential healthcare services alongside community members, met and celebrated even more passionate social justice champions at our annual I’ll Be There Awards, learned how crucial advocacy and persistence is from the Keep DC Healthy coalition, and sent so many emails.

This GivingTuesday, I am asking you to support DC Jobs With Justice.

DC JWJ  welcomed me with open arms and I have been able to see the amazing work they do every day. They provided immigration, workers rights, and tenant rights trainings and fought tirelessly to protect the wages of tipped workers. They successfully removed the RENTAL Act from the budget and demanded that Mayor Bowser take accountability for federal militarization. They expanded the Defend DC Coalition and were critical in creating Keep DC Healthy. In a year where success has felt insurmountable, DC JWJ has proved a formidable force in fighting for an equitable, dignified, and just DC.

Donate this Giving Tuesday

GivingTuesday is a day used to celebrate the generosity of others. If you are willing and able, I would like to encourage you to donate to DC JWJ so that we can continue championing a strong, independent DC.
