Jeff's path to becoming a youth plaintiff started during his regular evening bath. He was six years old.

His mom, Laura, remembers the conversation—telling Jeff and his younger brother, Nate, about Montana's Held v. Montana case. Back then, Jeff just knew he loved finding wild raspberries on Montana trails and exploring "the middle of nowhere" with his family.

That learning became power. Montana's Supreme Court ruled in their favor and history was made. Last September, at nearly 12, Jeff testified in federal court in Lighthiser v. Trump—a bigger venue, with the same fierce love of place.

From that bathtub conversation to Montana's Supreme Court victory to federal testimony, Our Children's Trust provided the legal strategy, expert witnesses, and innovative framework that made it possible.
