Walking is the most common metaphor in the Bible for our relationship with =
God.
More than 300 times, the Old Testament uses the word walk or walking. For e=
xample, Micah 6:8 says, =E2=80=9CWhat does the Lord require of you but to d=
o justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?=E2=80=9D
You find the same metaphor in the New Testament. In Ephesians 4:1, Paul say=
s, =E2=80=9CI urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which=
you have been called.=E2=80=9D Colossians 2:6 tells us, =E2=80=9CAs you ha=
ve received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.=E2=80=9D
Spiritually speaking, the Christian life is about steadily and continuously=
walking in the same direction over a period of time in order to end up at =
your desired destination.
What=E2=80=99s involved with walking with God?
1. Waiting on God=E2=80=99s timing.
2. Trusting in God=E2=80=99s power.
3. Listening to God=E2=80=99s voice.
4. Obeying God=E2=80=99s commands.

Walking is the most common metaphor in the Bible for our relationship with God.
More than 300 times, the Old Testament uses the word walk or walking. For example, Micah 6:8 says, “What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
You find the same metaphor in the New Testament. In Ephesians 4:1, Paul says, “I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called.” Colossians 2:6 tells us, “As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.”
Spiritually speaking, the Christian life is about steadily and continuously walking in the same direction over a period of time in order to end up at your desired destination.
What’s involved with walking with God?
1. Waiting on God’s timing.
2. Trusting in God’s power.
3. Listening to God’s voice.
4. Obeying God’s commands.

Walking is the most common metaphor in the Bible for our relationship with God.
More than 300 times, the Old Testament uses the word walk or walking. For example, Micah 6:8 says, “What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
You find the same metaphor in the New Testament. In Ephesians 4:1, Paul says, “I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called.” Colossians 2:6 tells us, “As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.”
Spiritually speaking, the Christian life is about steadily and continuously walking in the same direction over a period of time in order to end up at your desired destination.
What’s involved with walking with God?
1. Waiting on God’s timing.
2. Trusting in God’s power.
3. Listening to God’s voice.
4. Obeying God’s commands.
