Hi John,
Giving Tuesday is here — and this year we need you more than ever. Earlier this year, Advocates took a bold stand and returned our federal funding in protest to the administration’s anti-DEI and anti-trans initiatives. Now we need your help to continue fighting for what’s right. Our youth activists are organizing against racism, transphobia, and attacks on the people and values we all hold dear. We need your support to continue providing these amazing youth with the crucial resources and skills to win policies that protect and empower all young people to thrive.
This Giving Tuesday, donate $50, $100 or more to Advocates for Youth to support young people fighting for meaningful change and to secure the reproductive and sexual health, rights and justice of young people everywhere.
In 2025, in the face of terrible odds, our youth activists did incredible work to support reproductive and sexual health, rights, and justice. For example:
-
Kayla worked to secure medication abortion on college campuses in her state. Kayla is part of Advocates’ Youth Abortion Support Collective–a network of 1,500 young people across the country making sure everyone who needs abortion care can get it.
-
As Congress and the Trump Administration continued to attack lifesaving and vital HIV funding, DeOnyae-Dior, a young person who is trans and living with HIV, bravely shared her story with policy makers to advocate for policies to protect young people.
-
Anaia worked to create sex education that is LGBTQ-inclusive and infused with racial justice - making sure all young people get the culturally relevant information they need to protect themselves and their futures.
-
In the face of abortion restrictions and bans and growing challenges to contraception, Beau secured an emergency contraception vending machine on their campus after years of advocacy.
-
As part of Advocates’ CommuniTea program, Payton hosted events focused on Black women to foster honest conversations about sex, relationships, and sexual health to destigmatize HIV and share prevention strategies.
These young people offer hope for the future. They are committed to dismantling oppression, building a more just world, and ensuring health equity for all. By supporting their vision for change, you can help make their aspirations a reality, even in this challenging political climate.
Thank you for your support,
Debra Hauser
