| Nikki Massie, MA: Nikki Massie, MA, OAC National Board Chair Nikki is Chair of the OAC National Board of Directors and a passionate advocate for individuals affected by obesity. She has been an active OAC member since 2011 and joined the Board in 2017. Through her leadership roles including Co-Chair of the Membership Committee, Nikki has worked to strengthen OAC’s community, expand member engagement and elevate the voices of patients. |

| A writer and speaker, she openly shares her personal journey with obesity and bariatric surgery, helping to break down stigma and promote compassion in care. Nikki lives in Baltimore, MD where she actively spreads OAC’s message — even strategically leaving copies of Weight Matters Magazine throughout her community. |

| Dr. Nina Crowley, PhD, RDN, LD: Dr. Nina Crowley, PhD, RDN, LD, is a nationally recognized obesity care specialist and Director of Clinical Education & Partnerships at seca, where she leads clinical training and professional education on medical body composition. A former bariatric program director at the Medical University of South Carolina with a PhD in Health Psychology, she blends nutrition science and behavior change to advance patient-centered, stigma-free care. |

| Nina has been a long-time OAC volunteer and advocate, actively championing access to care through initiatives ranging from South Carolina’s nutrition policy efforts to national leadership within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has been a committed supporter of Medicaid nutrition counseling expansion and an early, consistent advocate for the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act (TROA), working to bring together dietitians, physicians and interdisciplinary teams to strengthen obesity care nationwide. |

| Elizabeth Paul: Liz Paul is a wife, mom of two, non-profit professional and obesity advocate from Mankato, MN. She has lived with obesity her whole life and for much of her life she believed what those closest to her told her – that her weight was her fault and her problem to fix. |
|

| It wasn’t until later that she learned about the reality of obesity as a disease and the impact of weight bias and stigma have on people seeking care and support. Liz now uses her own first-person experiences to advocate against weight bias and stigma and for access to obesity treatments for all people. Liz is a Board Member of the Obesity Action Coalition and serves on the membership, convention and mental health committees. When she isn’t advocating for people living with obesity she is active in Boy Scouts, choir, church and supporting her children’s many activities! |

| Robyn Pashby, PhD: Dr. Robyn Pashby is a licensed clinical health psychologist, an author, speaker and a nationally recognized expert in the psychological and behavioral treatment of obesity and obesity-related chronic health conditions. As the founder of Health Psychology Partners, she leads a team specializing in the complex intersection of mental health, obesity and chronic illness—an area where few psychologists have her depth of expertise. |

| With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Pashby has contributed extensively to the field through clinical practice, research and leadership. She serves on key national committees for The Obesity Society, the Obesity Action Coalition, The Endocrine Society and the American Diabetes Association. She is also a Research Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, where she helps shape the future of clinical health psychology. She lives in Washington DC. |

| Patty Nece, J.D.: Patricia Nece, J.D., is a passionate advocate for patient access to science-based obesity treatments and the eradication of weight-based bias, stigma and discrimination. She is the immediate Past Chair of the Obesity Action Coalition and currently chairs OAC's Weight Bias Committee. She is also a member of the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine's Roundtable on Obesity Solutions and the World Obesity Federation’s Policy and Prevention Committee. |

| Patty has been an invited speaker at many events including the Partnership for a Healthier America Summit; Rethink Obesity events at Republican and Democratic National Conventions; The Obesity Society; the Obesity Medicine Association; George Washington University Medical School; Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; Society for Human Resource Management; Society for Behavioral Medicine; the American Psychological Association; and the American Diabetes Association. She has also participated in numerous Congressional briefings focused on educating policy makers about the chronic disease of obesity and persuading them to cover costs related to obesity treatments. OAC and The Obesity Society have recognized her work in the field with the Barbara Thompson Award for advocacy and the Presidential Medal of Distinction. Patty encourages change by sharing her own experiences with lifelong obesity. |

| | According to OAC's bylaws, the above slate will officially be elected on December 30, 2025, unless FIVE percent of OAC's membership submits an additional individual to be considered within 30 days of when this slate is presented. If you wish to submit a nominee to be considered for the Board of Directors, please email [email protected] with your name, the nominee's name and the nominee's contact information. Anyone proposed must be a current member of the organization. If additional nominees are submitted, an official election ballot (including the above slate and any additional nominees) will be sent to OAC's membership. If you have no objections and/or suggestions for additional nominees, no action is needed. The above members of the slate, if elected, will become Directors for 2026.
