There’s nothing more inspiring than being on college campuses in Texas.

Everywhere I’ve gone I’ve met students who are registering voters, signing up volunteers, and organizing to decide the future of our state. They’re not the leaders of the future. They’re the leaders of right now.

Just last week in San Antonio, I met Venus, the president of the College Democrats at UT San Antonio; Jetsita, head of the Pre-Law Society at Texas A&M-San Antonio; and Elio, a brand-new Powered by People volunteer at UTSA. Each of them is defying the pundits who’ve written off their generation by doing the work that will actually save this country.

There are thousands of young leaders just like them across the state. Imagine what we can do when we have the resources to work with all of them.
