Research & Development Milestones

Recellularization Protocol Selection Underway

Dr. Ziaran’s team has delivered four unique recellularization protocol proposals to the Foregen team. These protocols outline the specific approaches for successfully repopulating the decellularized tissue with new cells.

Foregen team members William Musa and Beatrix Szebeni-Varga are working closely with Chief Bioengineer Jan Kovac to rigorously evaluate each proposal. Their selection criteria are focused on achieving maximum effectiveness and future viability, including:

• Compatibility with future reinnervation techniques.

• Cell type diversity and overall efficiency.

• Scalability and cost-effectiveness.

The final protocol choice is a significant decision, as it will directly determine the design and engineering specifications for the bioreactor in our upcoming Milestone 4.

$25,000 Matching Campaign Launch

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our $25,000 Matching Campaign this December, 2025!

The entire goal of this campaign is to support the engineering and refinement of our critical bioreactor technology. Specifically, this funding will empower Jan Kovac, Foregen's Chief Bioengineer, and his mechanical engineering colleagues to:

• Improve bioreactor automation through sophisticated software integration.

• Reduce the need for manual human inputs, enhancing consistency and efficiency.

This work is critical, as it will lay the groundwork for a "bioreactor farm" model, which is necessary to support the scaled-up production required for future clinical applications of foreskin regeneration. Every dollar you donate in December will be matched, doubling your impact!

Latest Donors' Conference Call Recap
