Hi, John!
It’s officially December – 13 days til Hanukkah🕎, 24 days til Christmas 🎄, one month til the New Year🪩, and 11 months til Election Day 🗳️!
On the subject of holidays, we hope you ate plenty of turkey over Thanksgiving.
Did you notice any differences in the political conversations? If so, we’d love to hear 👂what was different and if you tried any of our suggestions about being curious in order to find common ground.
Speaking of important dates on the calendar: 🗓️⬇️
Run for School Board! 📚
Filing to run for your local School Board begins TODAY, December 1, and ends Wednesday, December 3.
Now more than ever, our schools need real leaders to serve their students and communities as we rebuild from Ryan Walters’ failure.
We’re here to support your candidacy! [[link removed]]
Click here to let us know you’re running (or thinking about it) [[link removed]] , and we’ll be in touch.
Visit your County Election Board office that’s in the same county as your school district headquarters to officially file for a school board seat. Your local school district can tell you which seat is open in your district and if you live within its boundaries.
Cyndi Munson is making national news! 📰
Leader Cyndi Munson is catching national attention.
Last week, Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky, the incoming chair of the Democratic Governors Association, told HuffPost, “We’re going to elect Democratic governors in places people aren’t expecting them.”
The article went on to say, [[link removed]] “Beshear was tight-lipped about specific targets, but Democrats have long been optimistic about State Auditor Rob Sand’s bid in Iowa and are now closely tracking the candidacy of Cyndi Munson , the minority leader of the state House of Representatives, in Oklahoma.”
