Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, a day when people across the globe unleash a wave of radical generosity to transform our communities and our planet. 

With the daily alarming assaults on core American values emanating from Washington, D.C., this Giving Tuesday is an important time to show your support for groups like the Center for Media and Democracy (CMD) that are dedicated to defending our democracy.

Trump's second presidency poses the greatest threat of our lifetimes to our Constitution, the rule of law, and a century of progress toward economic, social, and environmental justice. Here at CMD, we are especially alarmed by Trump declaring that the press is "the enemy of the people" and the relentless, violent attacks on journalists documenting his immigration crackdown.

Our intrepid crew of researchers and investigative reporters has been blowing the whistle on hidden corporate influence and right-wing extremism for more than 30 years – and we are not going to stop now. Whether it’s been exposing the Koch machine, ALEC (the American Legislative Exchange Council), climate deniers, or insurrectionists, CMD has led the pack to give people the vital information they need to know who is distorting our democracy. 

Our role as a watchdog for stealth attacks on our protections and freedoms will be even more important in the coming year. Everything is at stake.
