Hi John,
Sometimes months of work on two campaigns comes good on the same day – so here's a double update.
** Mozambique win!
------------------------------------------------------------
Firstly, the campaign to stop the UK funding a climate and human rights disaster in Mozambique has won! Thousands of you joined the call to block the UK guaranteeing almost £1 billion pledged by Liz Truss for a massive gas power station in Mozambique. Today the government has announced it is withdrawing that funding.
It’s a big win for climate justice – and testament above all to the campaigners in Mozambique who have taken brave action to oppose this project, with solidarity and support from many others around the world. You can read more and share the news on our social media:

** Corporate courts – read this
------------------------------------------------------------
Secondly, many of you have been part of our campaign to build up a new head of steam on the secret courts that allow foreign corporations to demand fossil fuel payouts and override democracy. The UK itself is now in the firing line from financiers of the Cumbria coal mine and (in a new case) a Russian oligarch.
Today, George Monbiot has an article in the Guardian that is a brilliant summary of everything we’ve been saying. I would love you to read and share it in whatever way you can:

And of course, please back the campaign if you haven’t already. We know the government is monitoring the rising noise on this issue, so let’s keep up the pressure:

Thanks for being part of these steps forward.
Thank you
