In many ways, it's been a tough year for those of us who work in conservation. Federal policy changes and unprecedented budget cuts have made it that much harder to protect and restore wild salmon and their home rivers. But regardless of the changes to federal science and policy, we soldier on thanks to the steadfast support of our donors. That support is helping us pioneer breakthroughs in conservation science that will make us even more effective at achieving our mission. Our very own Dr. Tasha Thompson has three studies en route for publication, each advancing genetics as a groundbreaking tool for wild salmon conservation. One of the most exciting aspects of Dr. Thompson's approach is that it makes helpful data available to anyone who wants to use it.
