LA For the Working Class Campaign Launch
Saturday, December 6 @ 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Working class Angelenos up against powerful, right-wing forces that are ready to spend millions of dollars to take away our voice and make our lives miserable. We can't let them get away with it. That's why DSA-LA is proud to endorse a slate of candidates running in 2026 who will defend our rights, grow our movement, and build a LA for the working class through meaningful policies that will change our lives and city for the better.
It's going to take ALL OF US to win a future for the many, not the few! So now's the time to get involved!
Join leaders of the 2026 Electoral Working Groups and our Elections Central Committee as we publicly launch our 2026 LOS ANGELES FOR THE WORKING CLASS slate! We'll talk about the stakes, how DSA-LA's electoral strategy builds up into our long-term plan to build socialism in Los Angeles, and how you can get involved helping our fantastic socialist candidates win their races in 2026.

Tenant Worker Solidarity March: People Over Billionaires
Saturday, December 6 @ 12:00 PM
This year, our city has been besieged by fire storms, rapacious corporate giants trying to keep our wages low, a federal occupation and attack upon our multiracial democracy, and rising costs of living that necessitate an organized response from working people around demands for stronger labor and tenant protections, and a city that works for the people who make it run.
We are convening workers across industries to demand an end to the ICE raids, the passage of stronger rent control and tenant protections, greater workplace protections, and the Olympics New Deal. Our theme this year is People over Billionaires.

DSA-LA Adopt a Home Depot Volunteer Training
TONIGHT, December 1 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

DSA-LA is teaming up with the National Day Laborers Organizing Network (NDLON) to adopt day laborer and street vendor locations to be on the lookout for ICE attacks. Each DSA Branch has adopted different locations and has been doing shifts each day for the past few months. Come volunteer to help us stop ICE and protect our communities.
This training is to go over what you need to do in order to volunteer. We'll cover the rapid response network, logistics, roles, safety, recording ICE activity, and other best practices.

Are you new or newly returning to DSA? To Los Angeles? To the Left? Then join us for DSA 101!
At this orientation, we'll talk about what capitalism is, how it functions, and why socialism is ideologically opposed to it. Participants will also learn about the history of our organization and our chapter in particular, the current projects we're working on, and how you can get involved. This is not a lecture, but a meeting for new and veteran organizers to ground ourselves in socialist theory and discuss together how we can put it into action. We're excited to chat with you and answer your questions!

TELL METRO: Stop the Gondola
Thursday, December 4 @ 10:00 AM
On November 12th, Los Angeles City Council voted 12 to 1 to oppose Frank McCourt’s gondola to Dodger Stadium and urged the Metro Board of Directors to deny approval of the project’s new Environmental Impact Report. Now we need to convince the Metro Board to do just that, and finally kill the project! We very much expect the LA ART gondola project — approval of the project and the new EIR — to be on the agenda for Metro’s Board meeting on December 4th. We will need everyone to turn out and speak out against this project, so that we can STOP IT ONCE AND FOR ALL! Please join us in making public comment at the full Metro Board Meeting on Thursday December 4th at 10:00am! Comments can be made in-person or via phone. RSVP to receive instructions & scripts for comments.
Also, please click here to submit public comment via email to the full Metro Board & Board Clerk. It just takes two clicks! All comments submitted prior to Wednesday, December 3rd at 5pm will be entered as official public comments.

Postcard for Our Endorsed Candidates! 📨
Join our endorsed electoral campaigns for postcarding! It's a great way to get involved, meet other volunteers, and help spread the word about our candidates.
We'll be writing short, handwritten notes to voters in the district to let them know about our candidates, why we're excited about their campaigns, and how they can get involved too. No experience necessary! We'll have all the materials and some quick guidance to get you started.
If you've been looking for a low-pressure way to plug in and learn more about our campaigns, this is a perfect place to start.

Join us in learning how to talk to your neighbors about Eunisses and get her reelected!
Multiple Days and Locations
Under orders from the Trump administration, fascist ICE agents descended on Los Angeles to conduct brutal raids at our workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods. Join community members and DSA-LA comrades to walk through our neighborhoods to do outreach to community businesses, and make sure they are informed about their legal rights and prepared to safeguard their workers from ICE raids.
Saturday, December 6 @ 10:00 am
Raising kids and finding time to connect with fellow socialists can seem impossible. So meet up with other DSA-LA parents and their kids for a low-key park playdate! We'll have cold beverages, snacks and space for members to connect and talk politics, power, and parenting.
This event is hosted by the Public Education Committee, organizing with students, parents and teachers to fight for the schools we deserve. Learn more by RSVPing or by filling out this interest form.

Immigration Justice Committee & Fighting Fascism Year End Potluck
Sunday, December 7 @ 5:00 PM
Join your comrades from the Immigration Justice Committee and Fighting Fascism for a festive potluck to commemorate a year of hard work and unity! We will reflect upon the struggles of 2025, and how our groups have worked together to defend our communities from ICE and fight for the dignity of the working people of Los Angeles. We will also eat, laugh, and connect as we recharge for the year to come! If able, you are encouraged to bring food/drink to share that reminds you of home or the holidays: all dishes welcome!
This event is just for members of our groups (IJC, FF, and HD Patrollers). If you're just getting involved, come meet some of your comrades in person! If you haven't been active in a minute, we also encourage you to come! Let's connect before the year is through so that we enter 2026 with renewed strength and solidarity.
