CODEPINK in
December! Reflection, Inspiration, &
Action! ❄️☃️

Dear John!
We’ve done it — another full year of organizing for peace and
prosperity is in the books! The CODEPINK community has touched the
hearts and minds of thousands of people around the globe who are
inspired by our bold actions and feel aligned with our vision for the
future. There is so much work still to be done to bring down U.S.
imperialism and the war machine and to free our siblings living under
occupation, apartheid, and genocidal regimes.
There is so much work to be done to educate our neighbors
about how we’re all tied together, how our big beautiful planet has
enough resources for all of us, and how we can build towards a society
where people are placed above profit. There will always be more work
to do, but it is important to pause and look at where we’ve been to
see where we’re going.
We invite you to reflect on our organizing this year, to
learn lessons from both our wins and losses, and to congratulate
ourselves for committing to community this year. Then, join us for a
jam-packed schedule of events and actions to close out the year and
usher in a new year of peacemaking efforts. Thank you for riding with
us, and we hope to see you in the streets next year. Till peace is
ours.
Jasmine and the entire CODEPINK team
P.S.: Sign up to organize
with us and we will reach out to you for a
one-on-one. For questions, or to have local CODEPINK events
posted, email me.

CBS: Drop Bari Weiss! Chicago Action
CBS, owned by Paramount, just made Bari Weiss editor-in-chief
after acquiring her outlet, The Free Press. Weiss is a
mouthpiece for the Israeli propaganda machine — and she’s now the
editor-in-chief of one of the U.S.'s major news outlets, one that has
been notoriously neutral in its coverage.
Thank you to CODEPINK Chicago, who showed up to a Free
Press event with Bari Weiss, demanding honest media coverage and
saying no to the monopolization of our news outlets!

Warfare Over Healthcare:
It’s Necropolitics All the Way Down
By: Melissa Garriga, CODEPINK
"Next year, an estimated five million people will be priced out of
health insurance in the United States. I am one of them. When I went
to renew my family’s policy, I was shocked to discover my premium had
gone up to $2,600 per month, a price my household of four simply
cannot afford. For the first time in my adult life, I will be
uninsured, joining the millions who have navigated this risky reality
for years."

Ready to Go Deeper? 📚📣
Join CODEPINK for two weeks of focus on the Local Peace
Economy, where we’ll explore how to resist the war machine by building
alternatives — right where we live. For decades, we’ve fought to end
wars. But we won’t stop militarism until we dismantle the war economy
it serves. While we shine a light on the violence of the policymakers,
we must also cultivate a future of peace, divesting ourselves from the
war economy culture we inhabit and practicing the habits that lead to
peace.
Through social media series, articles, and podcasts, we will
share interesting facts about co-ops, mutual aid networks, and global
resistance to exploitative capitalism. We will give you practical
tools to take your next steps to engaging locally, like organizing
clothing swaps, skill shares, or local cooperatives. War thrives on
exploitation, oppression, and extraction; we believe in care,
cooperation, and community. Build a giving, sharing, caring, thriving,
relational, and resilient peace economy with us.
