John,
I’ve been all over Texas this past month, recruiting candidates across the ballot, raising volunteers for our voter registration work, and working with those volunteers to register and stay in touch with new voters across the state.
Meeting folks who are stepping into the fight for the first time, joining old friends who’ve been there from the beginning, and talking with new voters to understand their perspectives and what it will take to bring more of them into the next election – all of that makes me feel confident that what we’re doing is key to winning big elections in Texas in 2026.
There’s a place for consultants, pollsters, social media, and TV (I guess), but that’s not us. We’re focused on meeting people where they’re at, showing them the respect they deserve, and working with them to overcome the most intense voter suppression in the country so that we can win power back for the people.
But (you knew this part was coming): we can’t do this without you. This movement is going to take all of us, the organizer, the volunteer, the voter, and you.
We’ve got an end-of-month fundraising deadline tonight, and I’d like to show all those volunteers out there the kind of support we’ve built behind them. Every dollar keeps us on the ground, helps us bring new voters onto the rolls, and ensures that we can do the essential work needed for 2026 and beyond.
Beto
