"Before, I was a friendly, cheerful person, open to everyone, I didn't have a problem with anyone. Afterwards, I became a closed person. I started having physical problems. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't eat. I was stressed. I couldn't go out at all.”
Sexual violence is surging in Haiti, but our critical response efforts are just 8% funded, and too many survivors stranded without care. Will you rush a gift today — that will be matched fordouble the impact — to bring lifesaving care to women and girls in Haiti and wherever survivors need support [[link removed]?]

[link removed]? [[link removed]?] A woman shares her experience surviving rape with UNFPA staff in Haiti.
She was simply collecting water when gang members attacked her, changing her life forever.
“The psychologist helps me a lot… The advice I’d give all young girls who have suffered abuse, is to find a place to vent, to see a psychologist, and not to try to kill themselves because it's an escape.”
In June and July alone, there were more than 6,200 reports of sexual violence , nearly half of which were reports of rape.
As the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, we deliver lifesaving support to survivors of violence, including mental health counseling, safe shelter, clinical treatment for rape, referrals to legal aid, and more.
Tragically, without more funding, this care is being pushed farther and farther out of reach for the women and girls who need it most.
Your gift today will deliver twice the support for women and girls in Haiti. It will allow us to scale up support for survivors of violence, open safe spaces, and strengthen programs to prevent violence from ever occurring in the first place. Please, will you be there for the world's most vulnerable women and girls? [[link removed]?]

[link removed]? [[link removed]?] “The work I do, I carry in my heart,” shared Ismene, a UNFPA counselor in Haiti.
Over the summer, generous donors have:
* Provided care to more than 12,600 women and girls
* Distributed 54 reproductive health kits containing lifesaving medicines and supplies to health centers in the most impacted areas
* Deployed 43 mobile clinics providing maternal health services and primary care to communities isolated by violence
But the needs continue to grow as gang violence escalates. Knowing your support will go TWICE as far for Giving Tuesday, will you make a gift now for women and girls in Haiti and surviving violence around the world? [[link removed]?]
