Dear Green Party members and supporters,
As we look ahead to the 2026 council elections, we are now seeking prospective candidates to stand in a number of Target and Non-Target wards. To be eligible, you must either live or work in the Borough.
If you are interested in standing, please complete a nomination form using the links below:
Westminster
Kensington & Chelsea
Please ensure you make a copy of the form before completing it so that it remains available for other prospective candidates. Completed forms must be emailed to Charlie Button at [email protected] by Sunday 7 December.
We will hold hustings (in-person and online) on Wednesday 10 December, followed by a one-week voting period for members, closing on Wednesday 17 December.
Many people who step forward as local election candidates do so without prior experience in local government. What matters most is a willingness to learn, a commitment to representing residents fairly, and the ability to reflect the values and priorities set out in the party’s published policies. Candidates receive guidance on what the role of a councillor involves, including training on council procedures, casework, and how to work effectively with the local community. Support is available throughout the process to help prospective candidates understand expectations and undertake the role confidently if elected. If you have any questions, please contact Charlie directly.
We look forward to hearing from you.
With best wishes and solidarity,
Charlie Button
